Chapter Five

Who is your favorite character. Hope you guys are excited. This one is posted early just for you guys.

Chapter 5 ~ Kaya's Army

            Everything has been a blur. First, my father is captured. Second, a spy was in our mist. Third, the evil ones know everything. Althea is telling me that I need an army the one she has is not big enough.  The one she has is just the other Fay. She needs all the Fae and Fay to come together to create what my father started out as Kaya's army; I don't know what I'm doing.

            "You must!" Queen Sara yelled at me. "I don't know what I'm doing!' I yelled back to my mother. "You will learn!" She yelled. Aaron walked in on us and went to my mother. "I will take her mother," he recommended. My mother nodded and he took me away.

            "How dare he-"

"Don't even think about yelling at me like you did mother." he said then turned me down the hall. We were on the last floor heading to the stairs. "You should know better" he started

"I am almost fourteen!" I screamed at him still fuming mad. "Then act like it," he said at me his green eyes burning into mine. I turned my head and he dragged me up the stairs until we were on the third floor. We came to his room on his door it read

Aaron

First son of Jamadd

"With honor comes responsibility"

            Now I can see why he is so strict. Then it hit me. "You made this up! Every one made up their own saying it's what we live by!" I said realizing why it said what it did on my door. Just trying to remember what it meant was hard. Aaron just nodded."Father helped me out. I loved to see him and one day I said it I was four. He put it on my wall then it followed down the line. You were the last one... you were fathers favorite... he was always happy..." he stopped there then opened his door. His room was three times bigger than mine was. Staring in awe, I watched him enter first. "Come on' he said

            His room was huge (when I say that I mean it's huge!) The bed had a black theme to it or was that fire? Anyways words cannot describe his room. He sat down on his bed I laid on it.

"Kaya?" my brother asked

"Yeah?"

"Can I tell you a secret?"

"... Yeah..." I said confused. he would never do this.

"I don't know what to do.," he confessed. 'I don't want to tell mom but at the same time I feel like falling down and screaming myself to death."

            I looked over at him. That strong man I usually see when i look at him was gone I saw what he did every day.  I could not stand him looking like that. My heart was just breaking. 'Lots of hope Aaron." was all i said. Then closed my eyes and just thought. I felt him lay beside me.

"Thanks little sis." he said then closed his eyes.

            I opened my eyes and looked at him he was laying right beside me. Facing the other way. Smiling I had a memory come back

             He was younger a lot younger. Moreover, so was I. this was the night before I left. He was talking to me and telling me everything that would happen. Then I saw his companion there it was a horse... courageous. I saw a light flash and my brother was on the ground by his horse. Courageous was hurt blood was on the ground.

"Aaron what happened the night that you lost your companion?" I asked. He opened his eyes and turned to me on the bed.

            'We were young I can't remember the age. Courageous was there. He wanted to be here that night. He said something was up." he stopped. I could see the hurt in his eyes. He continued"... well he was right. That night evil ones came into trying to kill me the next heir. He blocked them but then his gem was cut off his head... It felt like my heart was being torn from me." he was bursting into tears now." I heard his thoughts screaming in my head. The thoughts were terrible. Then it was gone." he finished. He looked at me "it was the hardest thing I've ever gone through. This is why you need to build your army."

            "What is this army?" I asked confused.

"An army of fays and fae to gather. This is the ultimate army.  Father started it years ago named it Kaya's army. Well you left now and the fae didn't want to join. That led the fays to leave. Now that your back Queen Althea thinks, you can bring Kaya's army back. Can you do that for everyone? For me.... For courageous?" he asked. I nodded my head and gave him a hug. "Im sorry Aaron... I'll find a way to get Courageous his gem back. I'll make sure he is you companion again. You shouldn't have to go through this." I said my green eyes matching his. Afterwards he literately kicked me out of his room.

            Walking down the hall, I saw my mother I ran up to her and gave her a hug. "Mother I am sorry please forgive me." I pleaded. My mother hugged me back and then walked away without saying a word. That is when I got the idea.

            Hey, J.J. want to help me out. I asked my other brother. He nodded and grabbed his horse star. Star was all blue with white dots all over him the gem on his forehead was white. We decided to go on a secret ride (from mother and Aaron) to town.

            "All men and women old enough to fight! All big enough to win. All who want to serve their king! Come to the meeting hall. Come for Kaya's army!' we screamed. Then ran away. Just like mother did to me with the hug. she answered through walking away.

            Well if I say everyone that could was there, it would be the truth. However, not all were happy.

"Everyone listen to me before you get too mad!' I yelled they all looked at me and saw who it was. They all bowed to my brother and me.

"My understanding of this army was to help fight against the evil ones. We can't do it alone!" I said once they were up." we need to combine with the other Fay. Yes, Queen Althea has gathered the Fay over thousands in numbers but we don't even come close to the evil ones power of numbers. We need to combine with others all who aren't willing to do that leave now.

Not one left.

            Queen Althea came up behind me along with Kathy. They stood at both sides. After a friendly greeting, I saw they brought their part of the army. After everyone settled. I saw my brother come up and my mother with tears in her eyes.

I had brought what people were thought to be impossible.

I brought together... Kaya's Army.

Chapter 4 Queen Althea

       Light? Weren't the lights out? Crazy...Hold on do I smell...I do! Rain!

I snapped my eyes open then wish I didn't. The light flew into them making me close my eyes as quickly as I opened them.

"ugggg" I moaned. "Why are the lights on so bright?"

"I'm sorry let me turn them down" a clear crystal like voice rang down upon me.

            Slower this time I opened my eyes. The light was less bright so when my eyes adjusted I saw this beautiful woman. Her hair was long and darkish brown. Her eyes were dark brown and shining like rain on gems. Her face was childish but yet grown up... like a teenager. She wore a short dress but was modest. It was light purple, with blue added to it. Whenever it moved, it looked like water flowing.

"Queen Althea!' I cried getting up and bowing.

"No, no" she said "please up? I have not been in your honorable presence scence you were born. please"

            She knelt down to me then stood up. That's when I saw her feet. They were webbed.

"You're a water Fay!" I exclaimed.

"Yes"

"We've thought you guys were extinct!"

"No no just... hiding"

"Why?"

"Protection. I do what i must to protect my people. Don't mistake us we are strong."

"No any I would never," I said calmed down now. "What are you doing here?"

"Only a water Fay can heal what happened to you."

"What did happen to me?" I inquired

"You were touched by a Sadam" she said. 'Usually people wouldn't live."

"Wow" I said then my family burst in. quickly my father bowed then the rest came to see if I was all right, I smiled hugging them.

"Hem" my father cleared his throat "I need to speak with you Queen Althea."

She nodded and followed him leaving every one (including my mother) with me.

Boom the thunder roared outside the stables. All the horses were in the stables where they would be dry. Courageous was scared his eyes white the grey in them was hardly visible. Wither was beside Topaz hugging her close. Whenever the storms come there is most likely to be the evil ones. "They won't come this time. They won't come this time. They won't..." Wither was saying to Topaz who was soon to be due. Her dark coat was sleeked in water she was terrified of storms. They gave her nightmares when she felt them come it was signs that the evil ones would come. She did not want that to happen.

             The door opened and a shadowed figure came in with another. The horses freaked. Nobody comes but the evil ones in a storm. The other figure took the hood off and they saw it was Queen Althea and settled down for a little bit. She smiled and patted her long lost horse sparkle on the neck when she saw her. Sparkle had these blue fins on her side of each cheek like large kills. Her body strong and sleek.

            While the queen was talking to her horse the king was turned around his eyes on something in his hands.

"I've heard what you've done for the other Fay.' he stared " helping them rise and army. Kind of brings a thought to me it does."

"What are you getting at Jamadd? I have helped you. I have been there for you asked my help in this is an army against the evil ones." she says not turning around.

King Jamadd sneers a smile." Well you see I am no king." he started. Queen Althea froze. "Who are you?'

'A spy is what you can call it."

"Who are you?" she asked again her hand shaking on Sparkle's neck. The spy slowly pulled off the cover of a knife, turned out, and tried to strike out at the queen. The queen turned around and caught the knife in her hand she stabbed the spy in the heart while hitting him in the throat. He died instantly. The horses screeches brought guard to the scene.

            The body was soon reveled as a different man in the king's cloths. He had a beard and looked like the men that tried to steal the Sadam. The queen was escorted out. 'I need the queen in her room and i need a family meeting." she ordered.

"Of course my queen." the guards said bowing.

"And tell the staff that I feel like some food... I don't know why.," she said trying to make herself laugh. Her eyes were about to burst into the weak tears she knew they couldn't see. "I especially need Kaya."

Chapter 3

Chapter 3 -Rules and Fools

Walking into my room was scary for some odd reason. I was on the highest floor. When I first walked into the castle, my mother ran up to me and gave me a hug crying as she kissed my cheeks. My five others siblings were different at approaching me.

The eldest was my brother, Aaron. He smiled at me and shook my hand.

"I am filled with joy to meet my youngest sibling after so many years," he said formally

"It's nice to see you too..." I replied accursedly

We did not get along I could tell that. He had a whip on his side and I knew we just did not like the fact we were brother and sister

Next were my two older sisters Laura and May. They came up and gave me a hug their butterfly companions shortly followed having gems in the middle of their forehead.

"Kaya your back we've missed you so little sister. Why are you back? You need a makeover. How old are you now? How is wither and topaz? Where is the necklace? Oh there it is so glad you still have it I CANT BELIVE YOU'RE HOME!" they spat out without giving me time to answer. The butterflies tickled my nose and I laughed.

'Ok ok get off its nice to see you and I have no idea what's going on," I said happily

My father was glaring at them and the stopped and got back in line. The others just nodded and told me their names. Therefore, my family's names were Aaron Laura May, Liz Beck and JJ. Then my father, Jamadd and my mother Sara.

"Aaron show your sister to her room makes sure she takes a shower and that she is comfortable. She is under you command if she does anything wrong you will be blamed under stood" my father said harshly. Aaron nodded and walked away with me right beside him.

"Why does father treat us so?' I asked

"We might be family but we are royalty and we have to submit to our elders he thinks that formality goes to everyone and no such thing as talking unless it is useful. I will tell you all tomorrow we're almost to you room." he answered never moving his head to look at me as if I was some kind of demon or something.

We reached the end of the hall and there was a door that had my name on it. Engraved on the bottom was a saying. The door was old and rusted. The knob looked like it had not been turned for years. And the sing looked like this

Sixth daughter of Jamadd

"Many years many fights many losses lots of hope"

What does the saying mean?' I asked.

'learn not ask" was all Aaron said

My blood boiled as he said that and I went into my room. The room was bigger than my house on Earth. There was enough room to fit... 12 horses and me and still have enough room. The bed was purple lined with gold trimming. The pillows were soft rectangle ones that blended in with the bed. The carpet was brown soft and warm under my feet. The walls were covered with pictures potion recipes musical notes and of me dancing on Pointe in a green dress and my eyes shining bright green. There was my prize-winning smile that only my mother thought was hopeful.

"Only a queen with the best smile is the best queen," I remember her saying to me once. There was a windowsill with a small bed beside it the window was locked shut. I was about to ask 'why is my window shut' but remembered what Aaron told me and decided against it.

"You need dressed for bed then come down to supper in ten minutes we will explain the rules tomorrow."Aaron yelled through the door

I sighed and went to my closest. A small green gem was glowing and al of a sudden the cloths I wanted were on me. I smiled and went to the bathroom my face was a wreck. Mud was all over my hair looked like a rats nest and my teeth were green. I brushed my teeth cleaned my face and combed out my hair. Then I went down for supper. After that, I went to bed.

" Ok rule number 1" my father started out in breakfast." no dirty messes in the castle I do not need the other Fay looking at me like I am a wreck of a king. Second rule live with your head high now low if I always wondered how low I am I would be dead. Third rule..." he went on forever and soon my mind began to drift to the pastures I saw out the window.

There was millions of horses (well, more of a thousand, ok just a lot!) all different colors. Many who always caught my eye. There was one particular that do catch my eye the most. .He was in a different pasture and had a bandanna wrapped over his eyes. It looked like gems were on his neck and then something was covering something on the bottom of his neck.

"The most fatal rule is no going to the dark horse in the separate pasture. He is different and he is from the wolf's side. He is our prisoner and he is deadly to you." I heard my father say to me firmly.

"Yes father." I said bowing my head.' may I be excused?' I posed. Father nodded and I got up," remember to meet your mother and I at 6 o'clock' he called after me. 'Whatever' I thought and I went outside to gaze and the herd.

Some men were coming up the road with a huge burlap sack. 'What could those fools be doing' I wondered. They came up from behind some bushed I hid behind one of the bigger horses whose halter said Courageous. He was a dapple-gray mustang with no gem but I could fell power around him. As the men got closer, I saw them more clearly. There was a skinny one and a fat one. Apparently, the fat one was drunk and the skinny one was smoking crack because they went to the dark horse's pasture.

"You go in front of him and I capture him from behind" the drunk man whispered just a little loud. The other man nodded and went around to the front. he called the horse" hey neck eyes you want me you piece of junk!' he called to it. Looking closer what seemed to be gems were red eyes and the thing covering the bottom of the neck was moving. "If you come here will take the swathe off of your mouth. The horse looked at him with its horrible three eyes then ran to the man. As soon as the swathe was off the burlap sack went over the horses head and over the neck tied at the bottom.

'A truly stupid beast.' they both said. "Truly stupid."

"Well I thing you guys are the fools." I said walking up to them

"Who are you and what are you doing here?" they asked bringing out knives and daggers.

"I'm Kaya and I just happen to see you guys try to kidnap this horse." I posed once more my eyes gleaming with danger.

"We're not kidnapping sablota over here we're killing him so the queen of the wolves will pay us a price for his eyes and well, everything on him." they said.

The horse was suffocating I could see that. Being the own fool of mine I ran and took the burlap sack of the head the mouth on bottom of the neck was clearly not suppose to be there but was cursed on. The eyes went to the men and when one of them stuck his hand out the mouth bit it off. I screamed like a little girl who saw a rat. (I know, very noble.) The man held his arm and cried in pain. Guards ran from everywhere. Seeing blood, I black out.
