Chapter 2.- Faeries and Fairies

"are those w-w-"I stammered

"yes these are wings. I am a sky fairy and you're a ground faerie." she replied. The words fairy and faerie sound the same I laughed. "so do I have wings to?" I joked. Kathy just stared at me blankly.

" wait are you serious?' I asked in disbelief. Kathy nodded

" I am the princess of the sky fairies." she stated. ' us Fay and fae are interested in ballet. hence the cloths"

For the first time I noticed I was in a green dress but what I felt was pants underneath. The dress was like a tutu but with a long skirt. a hairpiece was in my hair. the sleeves were like the hair piece. Kathy's cloths were different. They were less puffy and her wings were blue as her dress. her hairpiece was just a head band but the dress still was a little puffy like a tutu but with a thin long skirt. Felling the fabric that looked hard was soft and smooth as butterflies wings.

"how come I'm in a dress, in the middle of nowhere and have no idea what's going on and why do you say the same word when you say fairy?" I asked all at once.

"Wither and Topaz will answer all your questions. they know more ten me and I remember only little I was sent here for the same reason as you topaz cornel topaz and wither. to be out of dark magic's way.' she retorted

" WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?!" I sort of yell at her being so confused I was mad. I felt my breathing get more and more sharp. then I noticed cornel was standing beside Kathy who was .. submitting to me. I stopped and grabbed her on a hug

"I'm sorry please forgive me I'm so sorry I would never me to hurt you." I cried as she cried into my shoulder.

I started sing a song that came onto the top of my head and she calmed down looking at me.
Then WHOOSH! everything about Gemth came to me. Nothing of my past was there other then I was in a study. in a school made from a tree. out the window the same Kathy in a younger version was calling my name to get out of the study. Apparently Kathy remembered the same memory but in her own eyes because we both laughed.

" well apparently we had some fun times" I laughed and she nodded smiling as she sat up. her dress untouched by the mud on the earth.

Wither woke up and nickered softly to topaz who was snuggled up by him.

"My sweet wake up Kaya is up and we have questions to answer while cornel searches ahead to see if he can find a gathering" he whispered into topaz black ear. Topaz opened her eyes which were now bright blue on her forehead was a blue gem on withers was a red gem matching his coat. Topaz's body turned to a dark blackish blue color. she nickered to him and nipped his cheek in sweetness.

" very well. Cornel please search ahead and see what you can find tell me what you find is any fae or Fay of Kathy's or Kaya's kind tell me and see whose forest we are in." she commaned the small dog to do.

Cornel nodded and ran off his nose to the ground. Turning to the I opened my mouth to ask a question but topaz shushed me. I shut my mouth and sat by my friend who let me feel her wings. "Well..." we asked together. Topaz chuckled and stood up shaking herself free of dirt her mane fell perfectly down like it was groomed for hours.

"ok, ok ill tell you the story but you have to stay quite I use to tell you this long ago including your past so you're going to have to be patience." she neighed to us coming close to lay down by the fire to tell the story.

" years before earth started a young plant looked at the sky and wished he could fly like the birds so a bird gave him wings to fly. well because of his wings he also got a body. he was named Gamth. He loved to fly so much that one day he went too far and burned to the earth. his magic spread to others who also grew wings and flew in the sky using their magic they built a castle. the most powerful one of all became a king and his wife was their queen.

"Because they loved their magic they tried to share with others but other saw the scaring death of the wings so instead they looked to the water. the first one was named Ruby. A fish gave her webbed feet and a body like the others so she dove into the water to live with the fishes. other saw her fun and joined her. one day she saw a weird big fish and saw toward it. the big meat fish swam toward her and snapped her into his jaws and ate her.

" others saw this terrible death and wished not to join the water or the sky but on the ground. so one wished to be able to walk and have magic like the others without their terrible deaths. so the ground animals came and granted her wish. her name was named after the sky Fay. Gemth. she didn't die a terrible death but at peace. so the rest joined her. She didn't want to be a Fay so she changed it to fae.

" year later the queen got together and created companion according to their state. they are what they are now. Ground is gem water is tail or fish like and air is gem and wings. the rest belongs to the ground fae.

" not twenty years ago faithful companions turned against their masters and turned dark. the dogs became wolves. the Fay turned into the dark magic leaders. the horses that had once beautiful coats turned dark and evil as well. one day they came after Queen Angieth's daughter which is you Kathy. she had to be sent away to the ground however they also came after King Jamad's daughter which is you Kaya. So they sent you to earth and sadly when you went through the portal you memory was lost . Wither remembered everything and so did I .Kathy was always afraid because she was always submissive to you. Kaya has the higher power and the more authority. "You are here because earth is dangerous now but Gemth is much safe either . So we brought you back" she finished her story then cornel came back with a large male Fae and a beautiful queen Fay.

"Introducing to their daughters King Jamad and Queen Angieth ." cornel barked to us then knelt down to the powerful Faerie and Fairy.

Tears filled into the eyes of the queen and she ran forward to met her daughter. She ran forward and grabbed Kathy into a hug squeezing her body. Cornel licked their hands and the queen wept for joy. " my daughter is back home" she whispered to herself and that made Kathy cry.

Hello Kaya." Jamad said blankly and I knew he wasn't the one who gave friendly greeting a memory came of him telling me hello on his throne . then he went back to his visitor as I watched and played by his chair. He was never the one for a happy meeting.

"hello father. you look well. " I said bowing my head slightly.

" come we must have you in the castle and get you warmed up and back at home don't worry Kathy will be fine. Wither topaz if you please" he commanded there was a softest bit of joy in his words.

" yes father" I said. Kathy was a Fay. I was a fae. we couldn't always be together. and sadly I knew it was the law.

Characters so far

Here are the characters so far.

Cornel: Kathy's companion. He has the power to heal and calm fears. He is very loyal and protective

Kathy: She is Kaya's friend who has auburn hair in the real world but black hair in her world she is a fairy. Her power is the same as her dogs however she helps conquer fears but that means she gets them

The wolves: They are sided with the dark side of their world . they were once faithful companions but when the companions turned on them they changed the form of the nice dog into terrible beasts who always are out to kill. They side with the the dark horses

Wither And Topaz: They are Kaya's companions and they are mates. Topaz is from the Water kingdom. Wither is from the Volcano kingdom. They were chosen for Kaya by the queen herself for Kaya. Topaz's power is everything along with wither. Because they were chosen as the princesses companion they are special and given powers from the high queen

Kaya: is the main character in the story. her hair is black and she loves green And her eyes are bright green she is the princess of the land fae and was sent to earth to be protected in war with Kathy a princess also. she is now come back because danger followed her. Now she has to face her fears.

Chapter 1

Waking up I looked outside and smiled it was raining. Every year it rained and every year it was green. I loved to go outside and feel the rain fall onto my perfect skin. My hair was a dark black and my eyes are a forever shining green. I don't remember any of my past other than a bright green light and a dead horse... I know weird.

I got out of bed and got dressed into my black and green clothes. That was all I ever wore and ever liked(well those plus jeans). Mother says that it brings out the color of my eyes(like I need that)plus it makes me 'blend in' at school more. I have one friend who is a freak she has the worst when it comes to fear I'm the only one who has ever stopped her from having a heart attack. her name is Kathy. She ahs auburn hair and blue eyes she wears the same clothes as me and is always at my side. School to me is useless I already know what's there and what's not. I don't need to go but foster mother doesn't care enough to notice my report cards or anything.

I went out to the stalls and passes my dressage horse Wither's Stolen Gems or Wither. He was a Trakehner horse of red roan color He loved to show off even though I dint but I did for him. Wither did everything except rodeo.

Going to school I knew what was in every locker who everybody was and everybody's grades in school. It was easy if you stopped blabbing about yourself and listened to everybody's else's. So I get the normal shoved in the locker being punched till I'm on the floor. being told what to do . Every year I've been the non talker. Some people say I'm mute others Think I don't know how to talk . Really all I do is write.

Getting on the bus I sat by Kathy and she grabbed my arm when she saw that I had the bandana she loosened up and I smiled "were going to be fine. " I whispered to her and she smiled. As the bus went onto a highway I saw a drunk driver crashing to us . The bus lurched to a stop glass shattered everywhere.

" Everybody stay still and stay in the bus till we can consider it safe to go outside!' Mrs. Jensen yelled to the kids on the bus.

I grabbed Kathy and pulled her close whispering softly to her . Seeing we hit the car and since Kathy could get a clear view I grabbed my bandanna and wrapped it around her eyes felling it was damp I tried to wring some of it out then tied it behind her head. After it was ok to get off the bus all the students slowly got off Kathy and I were last. As I lead her off I saw the horse trailer. There was animal inside but it sounded weak. 'you have to help her' a voice roared in my head. Turning to Kathy I sat her down.

" Don't move or take the bandanna off till your ok and not going to freak out hear that horse?' I asked her. She nodded. " I have to help it ok before anyone else" I whispered. She nodded and sat down in a safe spot.

I ran to the trailer and opened the back door with Mrs. Jensen calling after me "Kaya come back!"

The mare was more of a skeleton than a horse. Her body was small and cut with scars all over. Her eyes were bright topaz that matched her blue roan coat. Her eyes looked like gems shining in the dark in a sad way. Looking at the man who owned the mare I felt anger run through my veins and deep down in my heart. It was like something snapped in me.

Softly I haltered the mare and slowly walked her out. In the sun she was worse her hooves were long like she never seen a Ferrier. Her body had no muscle. Looking behind me I saw Kathy hold my bandanna to me nodding back to the people taking pictures. Softly I put the bandanna over the mares eyes realizing it was still wet I tried to get some more out then put it back on the mare. Whispering softly to her I took her to some grass and let her eat while I dealt with the police.

" We need to take the mare' One of the men said firmly.

' Why should I let her go I found her that way. Her old owner gave me the ownership paper and they are singed. Why should I let her live with you guys so you can kill her. No she is my horse now the most you can do with her is take her home." I said firmly.

"but-"

" Fine well take her home and that its"

Smiling I rubbed the mares forehead seeing a dark spot in the shape of a diamond right where a star would be ignoring it. I rubbed her neck and loaded her into the better trailer and stayed with her bringing Kathy home with me.

After spending hours of trying to get her to respond to a name I gave up. Kathy went home and took a nap while I stayed with the mare. Well even though I wasn't a normal listen-to-the-voice-in-my-head type of person I tried it out.

"Topaz you ok how are you Topaz?' I asked her. the mares small thin ears stood straight up and she nickered a soft bell like one. Topaz a pretty name for a lovely horse(after she was groomed she was really pretty even though she looked fragile. smiling I petted her forehead and then laid right by her stall and fell asleep

Waking up I saw a blue roan horse's face in mine. Air blew past my face and I jumped the horse's head went up and she nickered 'Morning your grace!' a clear sharp bell like voice rang in my head.

"W-who is there?"I asked scared.

'It's me Topaz! thanks for your blood from your cut it healed me right up its nice to me my rightful companion again. I thought I would never see you again. My have you grown. where is Wither? I haven't seen him for ages either.!' Topaz was neighing snorting prancing nickering and everything else she could to keep my attention.

"You can talk?' I asked breathing fast. But before she could answer someone screamed in the house. 'oh no' topaz 's voice gasped. Wither kicked down his stall and ran out of the barn a huge wolf that had claws the size of a cats and body bigger than the horses charged in and attacked him. The rider fowled. Her hair was black and she had sharp red eyes in her hand was a spear glowing blue. With stood up and knocked out the wolf; however more were coming. Wither looked at topaz then me then back at the charging pack.

'Topaz get Kaya out of here. I will keep them away as long as I can don't worry My sweet I'll be fine' The male's voice ordered. worry was at the end of his words

"Wither?' I question then WHOOSH! I was off.

'ok Wither I will do be safe call for back up now' Topaz's voice rang in my head to scared to even think I jumped on her back as she galloped. 'We're going to grab mistress Kathy and then leave. your foster family will be fine. They're after you and Kathy. I cant believe they found you' Topaz snorted out then mumbled

" Wait is Kathy in trouble?" I asked Topaz. She shook her small head' She'll be fine as long as her dog companion is always by her 'she replied.

" Wait cornel is her companion?" I asked confused now.

'Not now but yes I'll answer all questions later please shut up!' she yelled but sweetly.

" ok " I answered. the whole way to Kathy's house was rough dodging fight between us and wolves. Every corner there was another pack of wolves or a herd of dark horses. Topaz always was quick but just barely. "We're almost to Kathy's" I yelled seeing the familiar beware of dog sign. Cornel was Kathy's guard dog who was very protective.

When we arrived at the road leading to the porch cornel was jumping up barking fiercely 'Kathy Kathy help!' I heard a young barky rough males voice. cornel was hurrying back and forth till topaz ran. Then he ran right by Topaz as we went to Kathy's front door right under her window.

Kathy looked out and screamed." look behind you Kaya!' she yelled looking behind wolves were coming and fast wither was ahead charging to me. "Jump" I yelled to her

'Hop on now Kathy' Topaz told her snorting. Kathy hoped behind me and shook with fear. Looking around I saw that I had my bandana. I put my bandanna over her eyes and she calmed down. after a while Kathy fell asleep. Wither was right beside us slowly as Topaz ran I moved Kathy in from of me and had her secure I jumped on wither . The steady beats of the hooves and the war behind us I was in and out of sleep.

Crack! I jumped up and saw Kathy had started a fire her hair was softer and as I looked at cornel he was different. his coat was thicker and on the middle of his forehead was a ruby shining.

Topaz and wither were sleeping side by side by the fire and Kathy was shivering until cornel sat by her. her ears were more pointed and he skin more clear.

"Kathy" I whispered not to wake the others

"yes"

" what's going on. what's the truth?"

"We are all part of the Gemth , a world, and the only humans like things here are faeries and fairies" Kathy told quickly and I looked at her like she was mad then I saw her wings.
